MUSTARD GETS OLIVE BRANCH FROM TEEFLII AFTER EXPRESSING REGRET OVER THEIR BEEF

Mustard and TeeFlii appear ready to squash their beef and rekindle their collaborative relationship.
The multi-platinum producer addressed his issues with the songer on his recent single “Pray For Me,” admitting regret over his part in their relationship falling apart.
“Instead of arguing on Live I should have prayed with TeeFlii / I could have gotten straight to the point instead of letting jokes fly,” he rapped on the vulnerable, heartfelt track.
On Tuesday (July 16), TeeFlii recriprocated the olive branch and issued a public apology to Mustard on X (formerly Twitter).
“I forgive u bro @mustard u know I don’t mind praying with u or for u,” he wrote. “I apologize for running to the net wit our issue i didn’t stop to think about our family’s kids none of that so on my part as a brother my fault.”
He also expressed interest in reuniting in the studio, adding: “I pray to God we can get bacc to making history stay blessed.”
Mustard and TeeFlii got into a heated argument on Instagram Live in 2022, during which they bickered over money and credit.
The 10 Summers hitmaker took issue with the Epic Records signee claiming in a separate interview that their hit song “24 Hours” was Mustard’s “first platinum plaque,” which he interpreted as TeeFlii taking
credit for his success.
“Are you high, n-gga?! You do know [Tyga‘s] ‘Rack City’ came out way before I even met you, right?” Mustard said while also calling TeeFlii a “dumbass.” “You are not the reason why I’m successful!”
Before falling out, the two worked together on a number of hits such as YG‘s “Do It To Ya” and the aforementioned “24 Hours,” which featured 2 Chainz and cracked the Billboard Hot 100.
Elsewhere on “Pray For Me,” which marked Mustard’s first solo rap song, the California native reflected on his upbringing, personal struggles and grief over fallen family and friends.
Explaining his decision to make his rapping debut, he told XXL: “I always used to say I would never rap on a song. I feel like people have never heard my side of any story. But I felt like this was the perfect time to explain to everybody where I’ve been for the last five years.
“I always wanted to talk about something that was real to me, and that, even if you didn’t like the rap, you really like, understood he’s saying some real shit, what he’s saying is honest, and it’s vulnerable.”
The song is taken from Mustard’s upcoming album Faith of a Mustard Seed, due out July 26.
