SEXYY RED TEASES ‘DREAM COLLAB’ WITH UNLIKELY RAPPER

Written by on July 17, 2024

Sexyy Red has revealed who her “dream” collaborator is — and the answer isn’t what most fans probably would’ve expected.

Speaking with British interviewer @ramboistalking backstage at London’s Wireless Festival this past weekend, the “SkeeYee” star lifted the lid on her bucket list of artists she’d like to work with.

When asked who her “dream collab” is, she replied: “I did my dream collab finally. Tyler, The Creator.”

Fans will have to stay patient to hear the collaboration, though, as Sexyy didn’t divulge any more details about her work with the Odd Future founder.

Despite sitting on different ends of the Hip Hop spectrum, Sexyy Red and Tyler have crossed paths before.

Last summer, the pair linked up backstage at Drake‘s It’s All a Blur tour stop in Los Angeles, where Sexyy performed as an opening act.

The St. Louis native shared photos and videos on social media of her and Tyler posing for the camera, including a viral picture of them putting up their middle fingers while sticking out their behinds in unison.

Sexyy later gushed over the meeting, writing on X (formerly Twitter): “My dreams came tru.”

Despite being relatively new to the game, Sexyy Red has secured some huge collaborations since rising to fame with “Pound Town” early last year.

The 26-year-old teamed up with Nicki Minaj on a remix of her aforementioned breakout hit and has appeared on two songs with Drake: “Rich Baby Daddy,” which also feautures SZA, and “U My Everything.”

The latter, taken from Sexyy’s May 2024 project In Sexyy We Trust, even found Drizzy fueling his feud with Metro Boomin by rapping over the producer’s “BBL Drizzy” diss-trumental.

Looking ahead, Sexyy Red recently announced that she’s working on a joint album with frequent collaborator and rumored lover Chief Keef, who she called her “boo.”
